This poster includes lyrics from "On God" by Kanye West. “On God” is a track from Kanye West's album "JESUS IS KING" that features production from Pi'erre Bourne, my favorite artist and favorite producer. The lyrics "I bleached my hair for every time I could've died. But I survived, that's on God." references the time Kanye West fell asleep behind the wheel and was involved in a serious car crash. I can heavily relate to this story in a way that feels like the lyrics spoke to me personally. On New Years Day in 2019, I also fell asleep behind the wheel and veered off the road which resulted in me being stuck between a stone wall and a telephone pole. At the time, my hair was bleached for the wrestling season. Fast forward to this past year, I was at one of my lowest points in my life. In an effort to re-invent, self-discover, and self-express, I cut my hair off for the first time in 3 years, and bleached it once again. My hair has been a testament to my perseverance and commitment to personal growth.
